These are some poems that Rhoda wrote.

He hears the hum of a boys dream,
and thinks
thinks of his own dream
a dream that never came true
a dream postponed and forgotten
and though he fills with despair
he still hopes
he hopes that his dream will
come true

are my boots old?
is my coat torn?
are my glasses on?
too old to remember
too weak to try
could make you cry
half-way to the front door
don't remember what i am there for
oh man i really want to cry
for i suddenly ask
who am i

And yet...
two simple words
strung together
they silently voice your doubts
they beat at the subconscious
that is your
mind
leaving you troubled
the decision is not done
lets go there!! you say but you
think And yet...
though everything around
it die
there will always be
and yet...
as long as doubts go
unsaid, unheard

And yet...
it gives an idea hope
though it may kill
another
to live is to doubt
And yet...

burning the old year
but still writing the new
writing about old friends, new friends
about new disappointments
And a new resolution
that won't come true
writing about
happiness that last a while
and new people asking
why don't you smile
writing about how long
the wait is
for the day
but the disappointments
already come
writing about burning
the old year
and
writing the new
