Resent Writings...

Hey! It's been a while since I last posted, but here's some of my latest writings!

These two poems I wrote in my free time:
Dress the Sky

On the Clearest of days
I look up
And see the most beautiful
Blue

I want it to be fabric
So I can find a girl
And wrap it around her like
A sun dress

I would take trees
In full bloom
Stitch them to the hem
For tassels

I'll find blueberry bushes
Find enough of them
To go all down the front:
Buttons

I would dig up
Two green mountains
And turn them into
Earrings

She would walk down the streets
And everyone would fall to her feet
She is their
New God

When she spins,
She creates a light summer breeze
And when she cries,
It rains

But somehow all forget
That she's still mortal
And one day
She dies

The people of the earth
Couldn't find a girl
That was as pretty
As she

So the people returned the sky
Trees, bushes and mountains
But were never quite
As happy

My Boat

My boat has pain
On the deck
But it had happiness
stored in barrels
My boat has all sorts of tea
Where there would be liquor
My boat is constantly
Going in and out of ports
Stocking up on
And getting rid of
Friends
My boat sells experience
By the box
My boat
Holds words
Waiting to be spoken
Deep inside of it
My boat
Is constantly moving
Changing
Evolving
My Boat
Always has music blasting
Doesn't matter what it is,
My boat has Jazz
Rock
Hip-Hop
Rap
Salsa
McJagger
The Red Hot Chili Peppers
Mary Lou Lord
Tribe Called Quest
Amalie's Soundtrack
Rodrigo Y Gabriella
Justin Timberlake
Dave Brubeck
Destiny's Child
And everything in between
But my boat is full
Of a confusing clutter

Would you help me organize it?

In humanities, we have to start analyzing poems and such. Here's the CAP one that we had to do:
"God Says Yes To Me" by Kaylin Haught

For anyone sick of the smiting, revenge and drama of the Lord and Savior, the God in the poem "God says Yes to Me" by Kaylin Haught might be more suitable. One of the nice things about this poem is how informal it is. An example of this is when it says "And She (God) said honey/ She calls me that sometimes." It raises the question "Why is this God so improper?" We have always known God to be a very proper guy. But then again, in this poem, God isn't a guy at all. God is a girl! This is revealed in the first two lines when it says "I asked God if it was okay to be melodramatic/and she said yes." But one might ask, "Since when was God female?" One last thing that is really very cool about this poem is how forgiving God is. The God in Christianity is always telling people what's okay and what's not. Not this God. In this poem Kaylin is asking God if she can do different things. God says "Sweetcakes God Said/... What I'm telling you is/ Yes Yes Yes". But, why is this God more forgiving than our male God? This could be a very controversial poem, but it's really just saying that God's is not there to say what's right and wrong, but is there as a friend, and can be imagined as whatever a person needs to be comforted.

Yay!!!
